Teething

So wow, where do I start? Tiarra never went through this horrible teething thing. When she got teeth she just got teeth. Peytan well this is a new thing. First of all I'm going through 10 bibs a day just to keep from getting her shirt wet. And this screaming thing is driving us crazy!!! Last night it took us about 45 minutes to get her to stop screaming. Oh did I mention it was 2 am! I feel so bad for the poor little girl. It's so sad to see her look at you with such pain in her eyes. I have been giving her Advil and these teething tablets that my friend uses and it doesn't seem to be helping. On top of the teething she is sick and plugged running nose, coughing and fever. So the poor baby is just so sad. She is still not sleeping at night. Every hour she gets up. We have tried letting her cry, but then she pukes all over so we have to get up anyway. We have put music on for her all night and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions are welcome. Well I can hear her she just woke up. So now I have to go.

Hi Karen - I came accross your blog through my friend Jen - aka McCue Matinee - hope you don't mind the comment.

My daughter screamed all the time espcecially at night and was very uncomfortable almost all the time. This may seem extreme but perhaps your daughter has a bit of acid reflux or some allergies. You may want to check with your pediatricain because I know how frustrating it can be having a baby that just screams all the time. Hopefully it is just teething!

Hope this helps.

Wow that sucks!!! Eirinne might be right with the allergies or acid reflux. You should check it out with your doctor.

Thanks guys. I will look into the allergies. I know as a baby she had acid reflux, maybe she still does. Thanks again. Hey shannon did you see I added links.

Hi Karen,
I'm a friend of chaotic family(Erinne) so I hope you don't mind. Are you breastfeeding? That is the miracle cure for everything especially teething. Breastfeeding got my daughter (who's 3) and my twin boys(almost 2)through all the rough nights and days. My twins were more affected with the teething but it sure made my nights better(considering I had double trouble!)
If you are breastfeeding, just keep
at, don't worry about pumping, the breastfeeding will really help your daughter with the pain.
Feed her as much as she wants it.
At nighttime, bring her in your bed with you and breastfeed her.
You'll get more sleep and so will your baby!
Good luck! Let me know how it went.

Thanks. Yes I'm breastfeeding and she wants to eat all the time. I can't get her to eat any solids any more. So I said oh well and let her nurse when she wants. Thanks for the night tip.
