Peytan

OK so Peytan has lost over a pound now in a week and a bit. So now my Doctor is worried because she's 10 months and only 14 lbs now. She is not crawling or walking but that's fine by me. We are going to the pediatrician this week to see what she has to say. She is already in the 5th percent for her age. She is so tiny she is still wearing stuff from when she was a baby 0-3 months. I really want to buy some new stuff but Fred won't let me until she out grows this stuff. So I guess we will wait and see. She is sick right now and running a fever so she's not very happy!! She is screaming right now so I need to go and get her.

Update

So to all our surprise Fred's mom came home last night. Just when we were on our way to the hospital we got a phone call that said Mom is home don't drive to Vancouver. She is doing fairly well, she does however have short term memory loss. So that is really hard for all of us. She will tell you the same story 3 or 4 times in 5 minutes. And sometimes doesn't remember that we were even there. So now there needs to be someone with her at all times. So we are all trying to make things work so there is one of us there all the time. We are trying to make some meals to put in the freezer so she doesn't have to worry about that. We don't want her cooking and then possibly forget she was making something, so we are all doing our best. Thanks for the prayers and support.

Fred's Mom

Fred's mom is in the hospital. She was sent to VGH on Thursday night. The found out she has a fluid build up in her brain and need to drain it. First they are trying to figure out what is causeing the blockage. So we are now waiting on them doing an MRI and then they will do surgery. So until then we are back and forth from Vancouver everyday. Please pray for her as she needs it. Thanks and I will keep you updated.

ice fishing

So we went on our anual Ice Fishing trip to Loon Lake. I'm so thankful that this year wasn't very cold. Because using an outhouse when it's my -30 is not fun. This year it was + 14 so very nice weather. There was no snow so the lake was just a sheet of ice. It's made it a little harder to walk accross but in a way much easier. I think it's safe to say we all had a great time. The drive home was awful as it was raining SO hard all the way home. Here are a few pictures.

Teething

So wow, where do I start? Tiarra never went through this horrible teething thing. When she got teeth she just got teeth. Peytan well this is a new thing. First of all I'm going through 10 bibs a day just to keep from getting her shirt wet. And this screaming thing is driving us crazy!!! Last night it took us about 45 minutes to get her to stop screaming. Oh did I mention it was 2 am! I feel so bad for the poor little girl. It's so sad to see her look at you with such pain in her eyes. I have been giving her Advil and these teething tablets that my friend uses and it doesn't seem to be helping. On top of the teething she is sick and plugged running nose, coughing and fever. So the poor baby is just so sad. She is still not sleeping at night. Every hour she gets up. We have tried letting her cry, but then she pukes all over so we have to get up anyway. We have put music on for her all night and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions are welcome. Well I can hear her she just woke up. So now I have to go.

Snow Days

Hey,

Well here are a few pictures of Peytan in the snow the other day. She loved it! For whatever reason her tongue is always out. I think it's because she is teething.

Sleep!!

When is this going to end? I can't take this anymore! I am now going on 4 nights of no sleep and I mean no sleep. Peytan wakes up every hour - hour 1/2 and I can't take it anymore. I have read 5 hundred books and nothing seems to work. I'm ready to give her away! I had told Fred that I could handle having 1 more kid but after this one we both agree that this is it. If anyone has any ideas on how to make her sleep than please tell me!! I know she's eating enough because I've pumped to see and I can pump 7 oz from each boob and then after she eats I can only get maybe 1/2 oz. So that's not the problem. So ya that's my story for the week!

Results

Ok thanks everyone for all you prayers and support. The CT scan came back normal which is good. On the other hand they found something behind my eye so now I have to go to a cardiologist. They also said that I have floaters in my left eye so sometimes that can make you feel dizzy and sick because it takes your brain a while to realize that it has a blind spot. So that's al I know for now.
